Campus Compact for New Hampshire has awarded the 2016 Presidents' Good Steward Award to Patricia Halpin, assistant professor of biological science.

Halpin, who teaches in the biological sciences and biotechnology programs at UNH Manchester, was recognized with the award for her tremendous outreach in sharing expertise and passion for science with the wider community.

Halpin's efforts include implementing the American Physiological Society’s PhUn (Physiology Understanding) Week Outreach Program and conducting PhUn activities with Manchester middle and high school students who participate in UNH Manchester's EXCELL in STEM Program. In addition, Halpin leads elementary school students in the design and implementation of an exercise physiology experiment each year. 

Halpin's commitment and enthusiasm has, and continues to, contribute to the betterment of our campus and community.
