From November 18 to 22, 2013, the Confucius Institute at UNH will host a series of cultural events to celebrate UNH International Education Week.

Events

Chinese Tea Day

Time: 3:00 – 5:00pm 
Date: Monday, November 18, 2013
Place: MUB 334

Over a dozen teas from different parts of China will be available for sampling with desert. Etiquette on tea serving will be demonstrated as well.

Chinese Calligraphy and Paper Cutting

Time: 11:30 – 1:30pm 
Date: Wednesday, November 20, 2013
Place: MUB Union Court

Two Chinese calligraphy artists will demonstrate the art of Chinese calligraphy. There will also be hands-on traditional paper cutting. Participants can take home calligraphy works and paper cuttings afterwards.

Tai Chi and Martial Arts (Chinese Nunchaku) Practice

Time: 3:30 – 5:00pm 
Date: Thursday, November 21, 2013
Place: MUB 334

Students can sign up for Tai Chi or Martial Arts (Chinese Nunchacku). Space is limited. Please sign up before class at MUB 334 to guarantee a spot. Participants will be invited to a Chinese buffet dinner at 5:00 in the same room. Dinner is only for participants who have signed up in advance.

Hands-on Chinese Food

Time: 3:30 – 5:00pm 
Date: Friday, November 22, 2013
Place: MUB Entertainment Center

A Chinese food expert will demonstrate how to make Chinese dumpling and Egg Rolls. Participants will able to practice making their own and cook on spot to take home.
