Alexis was a Political Science and Justice Studies dual major. During Semester in the City, she served as an intern for Discovering Justice, a non-profit organization focused on the importance of civic education and preparing individuals to actively participate in our democracy. While the organization educates many areas of the public, Alexis was most excited to be a part of its mock trial program extended to schools for grades 1-8. Throughout the semester, the program pairs students with legal teams to provide guidance and support as they prepare for a final trial in front of a judge at the Moakley Federal Courthouse. With an interest in law, Alexis was excited to have the opportunity to support the community around her while exploring the inner workings of the justice system and the many career options within the profession.
