Caroline Young
Caroline is very excited to be joining the SHARPP team as the Expanded Services Coordinator starting November 2022. She is responsible for overseeing the expansion of SHARPP’s services to the UNH-Manchester, UNH-Online, and UNH-Law campuses.
She comes to UNH from outpatient counseling, where she helped clients process and heal from trauma. Before that, she worked at a hospital in Boston, specifically with trauma patients. She also has experience working in a foster care agency, residential program, and outpatient community mental health.
She obtained her MSW from UNH and is thrilled to once again be a Wildcat. During her time in graduate school at UNH she specialized in intimate partner violence and trauma and conducted an independent study on violence prevention education on college campuses, creating a college-level course curriculum to prevent and educate incoming students on campus sexual violence. She obtained her B.A. in Mathematics at Providence College. While there, she utilized her role on student congress to author and pass legislation to improve the school’s sexual violence reporting and trial processes.
She is passionate about social justice, advocacy, self-empowerment, taking a person-centered approach, and building relationships within her community. She is looking forward to continuing to develop these relationships across all UNH campuses.
