Tessa Curtin
As a second-year Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate student intern, Tessa is committed to empowering individuals through transformative social work practices and providing critical support to survivors of trauma.
Tessa brings a wealth of experience and specialized training to The SHARPP Center, including her experience and certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills coaching. During her first-year internship she was placed at DBTeens NH, where she engaged with teens in both individual and group settings encompassing subjects related to mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. This expertise allows her to offer individuals practical tools and strategies to navigate life's challenges and foster emotional resilience.
In 2016, Tessa completed a bachelor's degree in political science, philosophy and economics, minoring in both philosophy and economics, from Eastern Oregon University. She then went on to work as a case and records specialist with the Ada County Coroner’s Office in Boise, ID and then as a disability paralegal in Dover, NH.
