Madison Wildey
Madison is excited to be joining SHARPP at the beginning of January 2022 as the Survivor Advocate. Madison is responsible for providing confidential one-on-one support to survivors and their allies at UNH.
Prior to making her way to UNH, she completed her B.A. at Lesley University majoring in Psychology with a concentration in both Sociology and Gender Studies. During her time there she undertook internships at The Cambridge Women’s Center and The YWCA Tanner Residence where she worked closely with low-income women and individuals who experienced mental health issues, interpersonal violence, and/or struggled with substance use.
Madison went on to become a research assistant at Harvard University working in the Social Psychology department at the Sidanius Intergroup Relations Lab. There, she examined intersectional stereotypes, specifically exploring the intersection and dichotomies between gender, sexuality, and race.
In 2021 Madison completed her Master’s in Gender Studies at Central European University. During her program, she worked closely with themes surrounding sexuality, gender relations, human behavior, intersectionality, and stigma. There, she completed a thesis focusing on bisexual individuals living in Austria and the biphobia they encounter within their intimate relationships as well as within the queer community.
