Take Back The Night began here at UNH in 1981 but has been a staple at universities/colleges since the early 1970s! TBTN at UNH is easily one of the most impactful student-led events offered to the UNH community each year. It serves as both a community call to action and a space for those impacted by violence/abuse to share advice, stories, poetry, and more. TBTN is about shattering the silence around interpersonal violence (IPV: stalking, relationship abuse, sexual violence, & harassment) and enhancing awareness around what IPV looks like within collegiate spaces. It's a place where we can come together to provide support for those impacted by violence, be in community with other survivors/victims, and create change on our campus.
This event is open to all UNH community members (undergraduate & graduate students, faculty & staff).
This event is free from mandatory reporting, which means what is shared at TBTN will not result in a UNH Title IX report being filed.
