Dear Students,
Welcome home and welcome back! For those of you just starting your UNH journey, I am excited to embark on my first year with you as I begin my presidency. Over the past week I’ve had the opportunity to meet many of you and your loved one as you’ve been moving in and enjoying all that our beautiful campus has to offer. College is, of course, about achieving your educational goals, but it is also an opportunity to expand the numbers of people invested in your success. I think that you will find that UNH is full of caring faculty and staff and fellow students, who are here to support your success inside and outside of the classroom. I hope you take the opportunity to get engaged in one or more the many student organizations, clubs, and activities. All of us at UNH strive to create a sense of community and belonging, and I hope you are able to take advantage of all that university and the community has to offer.
I look forward to meeting many more of you soon, perhaps at my first UDay next week. You will often see me on campus, especially in the evenings when my husband and I walk our three large dogs. Please do stop and say hello—I am anxious to meet more of our amazing students, and so are Wally, Sammie, and Lola.
I wish you an amazing academic year!
Go ‘Cats!
