A full scholarship for the brightest student leaders around the globe to complete a one-year Master's Degree in Global Affairs (taught in English) at the prestigious Tsinghua University in China.

Value: Scholars receive a comprehensive scholarship, including tuition & fees, room & board, in-country study tour, travel to and from Beijing, health insurance, and a stipend for personal expenses.

Eligibility: Undergraduate seniors and recent alumni ages 18 - 28 who are proficient in English.

Major: Open, but applicants must articulate how participating in the Schwarzman Scholarship Program will improve their leadership potential in their career field.

Nomination: No, but applicants are encourage to work with the Office of National Fellowships on their applications.

Schwarzman Application Deadlines

  • National Deadline: September 10, 2025, 3pm EDT. 

Schwarzman Recommended Steps and Timeline

  1. By May 20, 2025: Meet with the Office of National Fellowships to assess eligibility and fit with Schwarzman goals and discuss potential recommenders.
  2. June - August, 2025: Complete drafts and revisions of CV and essays.
  3. By August 12, 2025: Complete the Office of National Fellowships agreement form.
  4. September 12, 2024, 3pm EDT: Application DEADLINE.
