Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to fifty Scholars are selected each year to study at the graduate level at a U.K. institution in any field of study.

Value: university fees, cost of living expenses, annual book grant, thesis grant, research and daily travel grants, fares to and from the United States and, where applicable, a contribution towards the support of a dependent spouse.
Eligibility: Be citizens of the United States of America (at the time they apply for a scholarship); (By the time they take up their scholarship i.e. September) hold their first undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the United States; Have obtained a grade point average of not less than 3.7 on their undergraduate degree at the time of application. Have graduated from their first undergraduate college or university after April 2020; Not have studied for, or hold a degree or degree-equivalent qualification from a British University or GCSE or A Levels taken at school in the UK.

Marshall Recommended Steps and Timeline
- By June 10, 2024: Complete pre-application and nomination agreement form. Review the eligibility criteria to ensure you are eligible for the award and identify the master's degree program to which you'd like to apply.
- By June 17, 2024: Contact UK university faculty in identified programs.
- June - July, 2024: Complete drafts and revisions of essays.
- August 26, 2024: Internal deadline.
- Early - Mid September: Committee interview
- Mid-September: Notification of nomination committee decision.
- September 24, 2024, 5pm ET: Application DEADLINE.
