Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX)

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) is a fellowship funded by the German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State. It provides the opportunity to spend one year in Germany studying, interning, and living with hosts on a cultural diplomacy and professional development program. The program consists of three phases: A) Two months of intensive German language training; b) One semester of classes in one's academic or career field at a university, technical, or professional school; and c) Three-month internships in one's career field. CBYX is open to candidates in all career fields who are interested in a year of academic, professional, and cultural exchange.

Value: Covers basic living costs including: round-trip airfare from DC to Germany; language school costs; tuition for four months of study; housing costs for host family; monthly stipend to cover basic costs of living; program-related travel in Germany; basic health insurance in Germany.

Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen, between the ages of 18 - 24, and have completed the first two years of education.
