The Lonza Scholars Program provides awarded students with valuable experiences and connections that can help accelerate their entry into the life sciences industry upon graduation.

Lonza is one of the world’s largest healthcare manufacturing organizations, helping its customers bring their innovative therapies to patients around the world. The company’s Portsmouth site is a leader in pharmaceutical manufacturing with deep roots in the New Hampshire community.

The program will provide: 

Scholarships of $10k per year for four years (provided eligibility is maintained).

Opportunities to apply for paid summer internships and interview at Lonza for open full-time roles (upon completion of the program).

Mentorship and Lonza site visits annually to support career development.  

 
Eligible students will: 

Be an incoming freshman from the New England region (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island).

Have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement.

Eligible Majors: 

Biology 

Bioengineering 

Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology  

Biological Sciences

Biotechnology (UNH Manchester College of Professional Studies)

Chemical Engineering (all options) 

Chemistry (all options) 

Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA to continue to receive the scholarship.
