Camp Wildcat - Extended Care
Camp Wildcat: Extended Care Swim Lessons - Summer 2025
Extended Care is expected to open for enrollment on Wednesday, March 12.
Extended Care is only available to students enrolled in the corresponding session of Camp Wildcat. Parent/guardians of students enrolled in Camp Wildcat will receive an email from camp staff when Extended Care registration opens. Enrollment is limited.
Campus Recreation offers group swim lessons as an extended care option for students enrolled in Camp Wildcat for the same week. Enrolled campers will be provided a snack and be walked to the UNH Outdoor Pool for group swim lessons. Lessons will run from 4:50-5:25pm. Campers will change clothes and parents/guardians must pick up their child(ren) no later than 5:45pm.
Weekly lesson structure:
- Monday-Thursday: Lessons will be formal instructional swim lessons following the American Red Cross Swim Curriculum.
- Friday: Fun Friday with swimming games that will still focus on skills, but in a fun, structured environment.
The Aquatics staff will manage the student swim levels internally and ensure the student is placed in the appropriate level.
In the event of inclement weather during Monday-Thursday lessons, Fun Day will be a makeup of a fully instructional lesson. No lessons are held at the Swasey Indoor Pool in Summer 2025.
Detailed information is sent via email from program staff to enrolled participants prior to the session start date. Please be sure the email address provided is that of a parent/legal guardian, not the participating student.

To request a drop from a Youth Program, email youth.programs@unh.edu or contact the Program Manager (info below). Please include the full name of the participant and clearly state the camp and session(s) to be dropped. No refunds are provided for Extended Care cancellations.
