Alex is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where they earned a B.S. in Psychological Sciences, along with minors in Behavioral Change and Communication Sciences & Disorders. During their time at UVM, they dedicated seven years to supporting students in the Student Accessibility Services office. In this role, they took on several titles, including Exam Proctor, Exam Proctoring Support Generalist, and Assistant Universal Design & Technology Services Specialist.

Presently, Alex works as a Disability Specialist for the Franklin Pierce School of Law and the College of Professional Studies (Manchester Campus). Alex assists students with documented disabilities to receive accommodations through Student Accessibility Services and connects students to other relevant campus partners and services like tutoring, on-campus mental health resources, and more. Through the interactive accommodations process, they work with students to determine what accommodations they may be eligible for and help with the implementation of those accommodations.

Accessibility and disability identity is central to Alex’s professional and personal values, and they have built their academic and young professional career around advocating for equity in higher education. With a commitment to continuous learning and growth, Alex is passionate about staying informed of best practices and innovations in the field of disability services. They are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the UNH community to foster a more inclusive and equitable experience for all.
