This 8 week online course includes information on the educational components required by the NH Licensing Board for Alcohol and Other Drug Use Professional as well as education in the Four Domains of the CRSW credential. This course meets the educational requirements for the CRSW. To receive the CRSW certification, students must contact the Licensing Board and meet additional requirements.
Earning Criteria

Knowledge of substance use screening of individuals with substance use issues. Ability to assist in appropriate referrals to receive additional clinical assessment, diagnosis and/or treatment. Ability to monitor an individual's health and safety of all family members through recognition of signs and symptoms of addiction, intoxication and withdrawal.

Understanding of best practices in structured interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals demonstrating signs and symptoms of addiction. Knowledge of how to provide and access peer support and research-based recovery services, including practical support, mentoring, and education about addiction and community peer support.

Ability to establish appropriate boundaries, a framework for evaluating and managing multiple relationships, facilitate awareness of current professional issues, enhance the student's development of professional identity and it's associated responsibilities and ability to articulate the concept and meaning of cultural competence.
