Dining

Theresa Faist

Theresa Faist has worked in various areas of Dining Services for 10 years. During this time, the constant in Theresa’s performance has been her high energy and highly engaged attitude toward her work.

She currently is in charge of the Union Court, located in the Memorial Union building. The Union court is a $700,000 a year operation. With a workforce of 60 student workers and a schedule that is open year round, despite holiday breaks and summer shutdown, Theresa's job is not for the faint of heart. Theresa is in charge of all the hiring, training, and scheduling, as well as for the ordering of food products, small ware equipment, and paper products. Keeping safety and sanitation at the fore, she heads the fight to prevent food borne illness by educating her staff. A true “Jack of All Trades,” she even prepares some of the food herself.

Theresa is a positive role model and advocate for students and loves watching them grow throughout their years at the University. In fact, during her tenure at UNH she became a student herself and recently completed a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science. On her own time, she volunteers as a child youth advocate for CASA, or the Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire.
