Graduate Faculty Mentor Award, 2018

Education

Suzanne Graham 2018

The Graduate Faculty Mentor Award is designed to honor a faculty member whose commitment to excellence in graduate student training has contributed significantly to graduate students’ professional development. I am thrilled to announce that this year’s award goes to Professor Suzanne Graham from the department of education.

Professor Graham joined the education department faculty in 2004, and her primary area within the doctoral program is teaching quantitative methods.

Her leadership of thedoctor advisory committee and the division of educational studies is widely considered by the faculty as excellent, and her contributions to graduate education extend beyond the department of education. In 2016, she was invited to join the faculty in the Master of Public Policy program as the Carsey School of Public Policy. During her nearly 14 years at UNH, she has worked extensively and tirelessly in graduate education, providing exemplary service to students.

Professor Graham devotes a generous amount of time to both her formal advisees and to many graduate students seeking advice about quantitative research issues that have arisen in their dissertation research. She works with the department's academic counselor in assisting close to 100 graduate students.

Professor Graham is an outstanding mentor and role model who deeply cares. Her students and fellow colleagues recognize and admire for her passion for research, and the extensive support and valuable feedback she provides both withinand beyondthe classroom.

We join Dr. Graham's students and colleagues in recognizing her years of service to both her students and the university as a whole. We are very pleased to acknowledge Professor Graham's accomplishments as a recipient of the Graduate Faculty Mentor award.
