MAJ Evan McGhee


MAJ Evan McGhee commissioned from the United States Military Academy, West Point in 2008 and was assigned to 1-73rd Calvary Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, NC.  While with the 1-73rd MAJ McGhee deployed to Haiti in support of Operation UNIFIED RESPONSE and Iraq (Operation NEW DAWN).

Upon completion of the Special Forces Qualification Course in 2014, MAJ McGhee was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) where he deployed to Uganda (Operation OBSERVANT COMPASS) and Chad (Operation JUNIPER SHIELD). MAJ McGhee then joined 2nd Battalion, 10th SFG(A) and deployed twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel - Resolute Support Missions VIII and XI.

In 2020, MAJ McGhee transitioned to the 20th Special Forces Group (Army National Guard) and contracted as a Special Operations Integrator. As a contractor he deployed in support of Naval Special Warfare activities in Bahrain. Following his contracting position, he joined the Special Operations Detachment – NATO and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. MAJ McGhee is currently assigned to the New Hampshire Army National Guard and serving as the Executive Officer for the University of New Hampshire’s Army ROTC program.
