SFC JORDAN CARLSON


SFC Carlson has served 22 years in the United States Army, leading operational Infantry Soldiers as a SBCT Rifle Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant, an assistant Operations Sergeant at the BN and BDE level, and an acting BN OPS SGM. SFC Carlson has also served as an Observer, Coach/Trainer in the 1st Army, an Army Recruiter, and a Staff Admin at NATO LANDCOM in Izmir, Turkey. SFC Carlson has five combat deployments to the IRAQ AOR with the 82nd Airborne / 4th SBCT and an Operational deployment to the Philippines as an SFAB Team Sergeant.

SFC Carlson’s military education includes the Battle Staff NCO Course, the Mission Command Digital Master Gunner course, the Anti-Terror Officer Basic Course, the Army Recruiter course, the Advanced Rifle marksmanship course, the Equal Opportunity Leader course, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Interservice Range Safety course, Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course, and the Knowledge Management Qualification course. SFC Carlson holds a bachelor’s degree from American Military University in Business Administration and is working towards a master's in business administration with a concentration in Project Management. 

His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with 2 silver and 3 oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal 7th award, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign medal with 6 combat stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 4, Army Service Ribbon, Presidential Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award 3rd Award,  Meritorious Unit Citation 2nd Award, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Airborne Badge, Basic Army Recruiter Badge, and Norwegian Foot March Badge (Bronze).

SFC Carlson is married to Mylinda Carlson and has two children, Christopher (13) and Rylinn (2).
