CPT Luke Rand
Captain Luke Rand is from Derry, New Hampshire, and graduated from Norwich University in 2015 where he earned a Bachelor’ degree in Criminal Justice and was commissioned as a Quartermaster Officer. His first duty assignment was in 1-319th Airborne Field Artillery Brigade, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, where he served as a Maintenance Control Officer and Executive Officer. He was then assigned as the Executive Officer for Headquarters and Headquarter Company, 82nd Brigade Support Battalion (Airborne). Following completion of the Logistics Captains Career Course, CPT Rand was assigned to the 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) in Vicenza, Italy. While in the 173rd, CPT Rand served as the Operations Officer (S3) for the 173rd Brigade Support Battalion (Airborne), and then as the Bravo Company (Field Maintenance Company) Commander.
His military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with 1 Oak Leaf, Army Achievement Medal, and Senior Parachutist badge. His Professional Military Education includes Basic Officer Leadership Course, Unit Movement Officer, Sling Load Inspector Course, Airborne School, United States Army Advanced Airborne School, and Logistics Captain Career Course. In 2017, he earned the German Airborne wings foreign award, and in 2022, he earned the Italian Airborne wings foreign award.
CPT Rand is married to the former Ms. Chandler Sullivan and they have one dog, Clover.
