We are pleased once again to return to Symphony Hall for an Open Rehearsal of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (Philippe Jordan conducting). Upon arrival, you’ll have time for coffee before the rehearsal begins at 10:30 AM. Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki is the soloist in Mozart’s mysterious and stormy Piano Concerto

No. 20 in D minor, which owes much to the composer’s sensitivity to operatic drama and expressivity. This concert was particularly admired by artists of the Romantic era. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky said of his poignant Symphony No. 6, Pathetique, " I love it as I have never loved any of my musical children.” It was his last completed work; he led the premiere less than two weeks before his death.

Following the morning rehearsal, our bus will take us to the Prudential Center where you will enjoy lunch on your own at one of the many restaurants there including: The Cheesecake Factory, Eataly, California Pizza Kitchen, CAVA, Beacon Bistro, Clover Food Lab and Ben & Jerry’s, to name a few. You may prefer to shop in one of the many elegant boutiques, or just sit and people watch. We’ll depart for home at 3:30 PM.
