VPFA Mission & Vision
The mission of Finance and Administration is to provide expert support to the President and to develop, implement, and continuously improve upon the best practices and highest quality services for students, faculty, and staff that enable and enhance the teaching, research, and public service mission of the University of New Hampshire.
The Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration:
Provides high quality, affordable, cost-effective services that are responsive to the needs of the University community;
Assists the University community in maximizing the benefit of its existing human, financial, technical and physical resources as well as developing opportunities to obtain additional resources;
Works cooperatively with all parts of the University and University System to develop and regularly update financial, administrative and capital plans based upon clearly defined institutional priorities;
Develops policies that are "user friendly" assisting students, faculty, staff and administrators in meeting their needs while safeguarding the institution's assets and consistently meeting its legal and ethical responsibilities;
Promotes cooperation, open communication, flexibility, goodwill, patience and a praiseworthy standard of ethics;
Supports affirmative action and provides equal opportunity;
Values its staff and advocates recognizing them for effectiveness and productivity through increased responsibility, expanded authority and compensation based upon performance;
Promotes personal and professional development, and supports continuing education, cross-training and leadership opportunities within the University community;
Achieves its goals through continuous improvement.
