OUR MISSION
It is our mission to provide the highest quality service and support to Student Veterans, Service Members, and other military-affiliated students such as dependents, as outlined in the Veteran Administration's:

 

As a service provider for military-affiliated and Veteran students, we endeavor to:

 

Be the primary resource

  • for any military-connected student using a military educational benefit or seeking support (academic, personal, or social)
  • Remain vigilant
  • in our mission to make UNH a military and Veteran friendly school
  • create a student space
  • where students can connect,  develop friendships, and build camaraderie with UNH student Veterans and military-affiliated students

OUR SERVICES

  •  
  • Processing military educational benefits in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner in accordance with federal and state law, VA regulations, and USNH Board of Trustees policy.

  • Providing a comfortable space for student veterans, service members, and other military-affiliated students to study and socialize and include veterans-only on-campus housing.

  • Supporting the UNH Student Armed Forces Association, the primary student organization for student Veterans, Service Members, and other military-affiliated students.

  •  
  • Coordinating a wide range of events for our students, including:

    • Informational sessions for opportunities such as the Fulbright program

    • Orientation for incoming Veterans and members of the National Guard or Reserves

    • On-campus appointments with VA representatives

    • Ice cream, hot chocolate, and pizza social events

  • fostering a compassionate office space while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethical behavior, and confidentiality.

  • Networking with university, local, state, and federal organizations who may be able to assist, especially in a crisis.

    UNH Student-Veteran Awarded Scholarship for Excellence in Engineering - Charity was recently awarded the George F. and Lina C. Fisher Scholarship for $5,900.
