Build-able Bridges

 

Program Description:

This presentation involves the use of a set of build-able bridge models and related materials representing different structural types with a focus on signature bridges throughout New England and in history. These models are intended to be used in New Hampshire education after school programs, grades K through 8, encouraging interest in engineering as a possible career choice.


Speaker:

Erin Santini Bell

Erin Bell is an assistant professor of civil engineering at the University of New Hampshire where she teaches classes in structural design. She received her Ph.D. from Tufts University. She has produced numerous publications, does on going research and has received numerous awards for her work.
