Adolescent siblings’ daily discussions: Links with well being


Program Description:

During adolescence when youth are developing close relationships outside of the family, forming an identity, and make choices about future academic and occupational pathways, youth may turn to their siblings to help navigate these challenges.


Corinna Jenkins-Tucker

Corinna Jenkins Tucker, Ph.D., C.F.L.E., is an Associate Professor of Family Studies and a Carsey School of Public Policy Faculty Fellow. Her primary research interests include examining adolescents’ relationships with their siblings and parents and how these experiences are associated with their development. Dr. Tucker received her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from the Pennsylvania State University and joined the faculty at the University of New Hampshire in 2000. Dr. Tucker was recently awarded the Class of 1940 Professorship that recognizes outstanding interdisciplinary research and teaching. Dr. Tucker is currently on the editorial board of Family Relations, Journal of Research on Adolescence, and Journal of Youth and Adolescence, and reviews for several journals. She teaches courses on family relations, parenting, adolescent development, and research methods.
