Often people leave the medical office unsure of what has occurred. This interactive workshop presentation will explore issues to do with power and active listening.

Gerard Tobin

Gerard Tobin, an assistant professor of nursing at the University of New Hampshire, moved to the US in 2006, having worked in Nurse Education within the UK (Oxford) and Ireland. His area of clinical experience spans from Intensive care nursing to mental health nursing and end of life care. He is very interested in how patents and medical personnel communicate and his Ph.D. explored the giving and receiving of a cancer diagnosis.
