Dietary Protein for Active Individuals: When, Which, and How Much?

 

Program Description:

This presentation explores how much protein is need by athletes and other physically active individuals; the relative value of different protein sources, including supplements; and how to strategically time protein intake to maximize its effectiveness. This presentation includes an engaging and colorful Powerpoint presentation, a short workshop for participants, and plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion. It is intended for healthy adults with an active lifestyle; no previous knowledge of nutrition is expected.

Dennis Bobiliya

Dr. Bobilya received his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri in 1989 and has been a professor of nutrition at the University of New Hampshire since 1991. He have been teaching courses in sports nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, mineral nutrition, and vitamin nutrition. His goal is to optimize the health, fitness and performance of physically active individuals, especially athletes, through the application of scientifically sound nutrition. All of Dr. Bobilya's presentations will promote learning through a fun and engaging presentation.
