Joseph Hollweg is a professor of physics at the University of New Hampshire. His areas of research include the dynamics of the solar atmosphere and solar wind and waves in plasmas. He was awarded the 1992 James Arthur Prize for Solar Physics by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
