This lecture introduces the use and form of the mosque. A building type and institution, the mosque is the major focus of Islamic ritual and devotional life. The lecture will be illustrated (all ages)

Ethel Sara Wolper

Ethel Sara Wolper, Ph.D., U. of California, Los Angeles, is an associate professor of history at the University of New Hampshire. Her research interests include the history of the Middle East, history of Islam, and the history of Islamic art.
