Philosophy for Children

Program Description:

Presentations on varied philosophical topics for elementary school children, grades 2-6. I will use age-appropriate children's books as a springboard for the children themselves to discuss philosophical questions: What is bravery? What is fairness? What are rules and why do we have them? Is it ever OK to break a rule? How can I know I'm not dreaming? Can you know what it's like to be me? Can I know what it's like to be you? Does time go on forever? Do numbers exist when no one is thinking about them?
