Three steps to Selecting a major 
Step 1
1. Review all
UNH majors
2. Make a list of all majors that interest you.
3. Review the catalog description and website of each major on your list
4. Consider the major by asking yourself:
- Do the courses interest me, especially the upper-level courses?
- Do I think I can handle the workload?
- Are the faculty involved with research and topics that interest me?
- How do I declare?
- What can I do with this Major? (see step 3 below)
5. Review your list of interests with your advisor
Step 2
1. Find connections between your list of majors and personal interests.
2. Download and fill out the interest assesment sheet on the right
3. Review this sheet with your advisor
Step 3
1. What can I do with this major? A list
of UNH majors, industries open to these majors, and what students should
do in addition to coursework to prepare for a position in the particular
industry.
2. Talk to your advisor, who can provide other career advising resources
available in our office.
