On October 13, 2007, three former UNH Department of Theatre and Dance Alums returned to UNH to help raise money for the Carol Lucha-Burns Musical Theatre Endowment Fund as part of UNH’s 70’s Decade Reunion Event. John Garand, ’75, Kathryn Scannell, ’75, and Susan Dearborn, ’76, presented a Musical Revue entitled “The Way We Were When We Wore Polyester”. Many Theatre and Dance alums attended; all told, there were nearly 200 people in the audience. John, Kathy, and Susan presented a funny montage of songs from the 70’s, and then moved on down memory lane, from sharing the first song they sang together under Carol’s tutelage, to remembering classmates who are no longer with us, to a rousing rendition of “Bosom Buddies”. At the end, they received a much deserved standing ovation. John, Kathy, and Susan, we are grateful to you for volunteering your time so generously to help raise money for the Endowment Fund.
