The City
Donostia-San Sebastián is located on the north coast of Spain. It is the capital of Guipúzcoa in the Basque Country. A mere 21 km from the French border, San Sebastian is situtated in the still bay of La Concha and enclosed by low rolling hills. It is the pearl of Basque resort towns.

The Venue
The symposium venue, Palacio de Miramar, is situated between two white sand beaches, Playa de La Concha and Playa de Ondarreta. This red brick, English-style palace, overlooks the bay and is surrounded by some of the city's most beautiful garden areas. The Palacio is less the 1.5 km from the city Center and the ~2.5 Km from the social center, Parte Vieja.
