Jan Nisbet, Senior Vice Provost for Research, has announced a new organizational structure for the research office, effective 10/4/10.  The organizational changes are based on the work of the Blue Ribbon Panel on Research and the UNH strategic plan (UNH 2020), and focus on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided to the campus community. 

Services will continue to be provided by the individuals, units, and offices now providing the services.  Currently there are no plans for physical relocations.

The major changes include: 

• the formation of the Research Development and Communications office to focus and enhance activities to support grant seeking and showcase the research conducted at UNH;
• the Office of Research Integrity Services will report directly to the SVPR;
• the University Instrumentation Center, the Research Computing Center, and Research Information Technology (formerly OSR IT) have been combined into Research Computing and Instrumentation;
• Sponsored Programs Administration has been formed to encompass the former Office of Sponsored Research groups of Research Administration and Financial Management, with Victor Sosa named as its director.
