The templates for appointment letters issued by UNH departments to new status, temporary adjunct salaried and hourly staff, and postdoctoral associates now include reference to the mandatory effort certification training. 

This language should be added to offer letters for all new employees in these categories whose salary is fully or partially charged to grants:  Faculty and staff having any portion of salary paid from sponsored programs are required to complete Effort Reporting and Certification training.  This web-based training must be completed within the first 30 days of initial employment and once every three years thereafter or more frequently whenever there are substantial changes in the effort certification system: www.unh.edu/osr/training/effort_training/.
