New Faculty Orientation 2014
Welcome to the University of New Hampshire faculty.
On Monday, August 25, 2014 the Office of the Provost will host the annual orientation for new faculty members at the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics (Paul College) on the UNH campus. It will begin at 8:00 am with coffee and registration outside Room 115. Included will be a welcome from Provost Lisa MacFarlane, the president of the Faculty Senate, your choice of 6 different, concurrent classes scheduled for 11:15 am and 1:30 pm., lunch with the presenters and the dean of your college, and a walking tour of the campus. Following the tour there will be a cookout with President Mark Huddleston in the beautiful courtyard of Paul College. The president enjoys meeting new faculty and their families. Please click on the Registration Form to register for the various parts of the orientation.
Because most of you will not have a UNH parking permit yet, please download the day-pass and make sure it is visible on your dash. This will allow you to park in any Faculty/Staff area - just for Aug. 25. Please use this Parking map in the "Campus Map" section of this page (below) to orient yourself with faculty/staff parking areas.
The completed parking permit application form (use the license # and info about the car you currently have), with your payment can be sent to: BJ Plantamuro, Office of the Provost, 207 Thompson Hall, Durham, NH 03824 or scanned to: email@example.com. If you choose to use a credit card, write your information on the bottom of the form. If you would like to take advantage of the payroll deduction, check off the appropriate box. If you are using a check or money order, send them to me or bring them with you to the orientation. When/if all your information is complete, we will have your parking tag for you at the registration table. The orientation registration form pertains to all pieces of the orientation days. To insure that we have time to accomodate those with special needs, please fill in and return the on-line registration by August 15.
On Tuesday, August 26 from 9:00 am - noon (continental breakfast in at 8:30 am), you can meet with Human Resources in the Piscataqua and Cocheco rooms of Holloway Commons to review your Benefit package. When that is complete, all new faculty are scheduled to have their pictures taken for their UNH ID cards. That will take place in Rm. 101 of Holloway Commons between 12:30-2:00 pm
