The New Hampshire landscape is rich with habitats for fish and wildlife -- from granite peaks, forests, and wetlands to grasslands, coastal islands, and nearly a thousand lakes and ponds. For the Wildlife Action Plan (WAP) and habitat maps, 19 different habitat types were identified -- some of them common and some extremely rare.
