Daniel Webster was perhaps America’s greatest orator. A New Hampshire native, and graduate of Dartmouth College, Webster was skilled in the art of rhetoric, and built a career on his success in all three of the classical forms of oratory -- political, legal and ceremonial. The presentation offers a survey of Webster’s speaking career, and discusses his most important orations in each of these classical genres.
