Welcome to the Graduate Program in Painting

The Department of Art and Art History offers a program of courses leading to a master of fine arts degree in painting. The MFA program is directed at students who are prepared to complete their professional training at the highest level.

What happens when you graduate?  Class of 2012

Lennie Mullaney is teaching plein aire painting classes at The Sanctuary in Eliot, ME.  She has rented a studio in the Button Factory in Portsmouth and is showing at local galleries and with the NH Art Association.  Lennie is also rehabbing an art and craftsman bungalow home while trying to paint en plein aire as much as possible.

Liz Wilson continues to paint plein aire and in her studio.  She has 2 exhibitions coming up in August:  2 Artists, 5 Locations, 20 Paintings: New Landscapes by Jesse Thomas and Liz Wilson at the Main Street Art Gallery in Newfields, NH (Jesse Thomas is also a MFA graduate of 2012); and Impressions at the Stone Church in Newmarket, NH.  Liz also currently has a piece in the Ogunquit Art Association Regional Juried Show at the Barn Gallery, York, ME and has put work in and helped organized a music and art show at Studio 310 in Northampton, MA.  She is busy applying for teaching positions.  Her updated website is www.lizwilsonart.com.
