The College of Liberal Arts administers several study abroad programs that can take you to Costa Rica, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Russia, or Spain.
When you participate in any one of these programs, you pay UNH tuition with no confusing fees or payments to third parties. All UNH student fees are waived except the technology fee, and each program has a single program fee which covers room, board, and excursions. You are eligible for federal financial aid just as you would be if you studied at UNH.
In the semester-long programs, you earn 16 credits. Many other programs offer 14 or 15 credits, or they don't even tell you the number of credits you will earn until the program is complete. As long as you earn a C or better in your courses, you are guaranteed the full 16 credits, so there are no credits to make up once your return to UNH. It is also possible to satisfy general education requirements with the courses you take abroad.
The University administers other study abroad and exchange programs, approves scores of non-UNH programs, and administers a number of national exchange programs.
