$10,000 award to the Office of Presidential Events and Programs to replace UNH ceremonial banners and to purchase new additional banners to enhance the ceremonial nature and prestige of UNH academic ceremonies.

$11,200 award to the UNH Student Senate is requesting funding to install wireless access points and provide wireless internet access in one lounge per residence hall to support expanded internet access for a majority of students.

$2,500 award to the UNH Model United Nations student group to pay their delegate fees for the National Model United Nations conference in New York City this year.

$2,500 award to the departments of Music and History to stage a series of Holocaust themed musical events next year. The pieces performed would either be by composers who themselves experienced the Holocaust in some way or who have written music after the Holocaust as a form of commemoration.

$6,547 award to the UNH Art Department’s Woodworking/Furniture Design Program. These funds will be used to purchase critical tools and supplies for the Woodworking Program. These tools will allow the woodshop to better accommodate large, introductory woodworking classes and enhance the woodworking studio spaces.

$20,000 award to the UNH Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) to continue the support and growth of the Parents Association Undergraduate Research Symposium. This URC Symposium represents a majority of the all student presenters during URC. Funding will also expand the outreach to parents to encourage attendance at URC events.

New Zamboni$20,000 award to Campus Recreation to help purchase a new Zamboni Ice Resurfacer for the Whittemore Ice Rink. The new Zamboni will support not only the UNH men’s and women’s hockey teams, but the Club Hockey team, Figure Skating Club, Northeast Passage Sled Hockey, Open Skating, Intramural Hockey & Broomball etc. This funding augments significant funds already raised by Campus Recreation for this purchase.

$10,740 award to the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (COLSA) for the UNH Compost Program. The Compost Program will be replacing its old tractor and turner which are necessary for this project. This funding augments significant funds already raised by COLSA for this purchase.

$3,000 award to the UNH Orchestras to implement a one day outreach and educational tour to area high schools to help further support the development of orchestral programs and to use it as a recruiting tool for area students.

$3,000 award to the UNH Precision Racing Team to purchase a lathe which will be used not only by the Racing Team but by other students within the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS).

$4,446 award to the Office of CIO & Computing & Information Services to expand awareness of safety and security programs for UNH students in the areas of personal IT and emergency security.

$1,600 award to the UNH Music Dept. to replace the frame for the UNH music department’s marimba instrument.

$8,469 award to the Dept. of Languages, Literatures and Cultures to establish a video production lab which will allow Student Language Clubs to create videos which will promote their organizations within and outside of UNH.
