The New Hampshire Presidential Primary has been the first in the nation since 1920, but it wasn’t until 1952 that citizens had the right to vote directly for a presidential candidate, not just delegates. With just two exceptions, no candidate losing in New Hampshire has ever made it to the White House.
Here you will find information about UNH faculty members who are experts on important issues being discussed by the candidates, as well as faculty experts who can discuss the history and significance of New Hampshire's First-in-the-Nation Primary.
In addition, members of the media will find details about primary debates being held on campus.
We hope you find this resource helpful as you cover the important issues of the New Hampshire Primary. Please let UNH Media Relations know if there is any way we can be of further assistance.
