Due to a number of retirements, Pat McCabe, Meghan Proctor and Keith Timmerman have joined the staff of Human Resources.
For the past 12 years, McCabe served as human resources director for the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) in the White Mountains. Her earlier work experience includes adventure-based counseling and volunteer relations at the AMC and the Girl Scouts. She also worked with student services at Boston College, Indiana University, and Westfield State College. McCabe earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Vermont in English/political science, and an M.S. in higher education at Indiana University. She is the HR partner for COLSA, Research, EOS and the Cooperative Extension.
Proctor has more than 10 years of human resources generalist experience, primarily in the hospitality industry. Prior to coming to UNH, she served as HR director for a Seacoast area hotel. She received her undergraduate degree in hospitality management from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics in 2001. She also obtained a master’s degree in organizational leadership and has two certifications: senior professional in human resources (SPHR) and certified human resources executive (CHRE). Proctor is the matrix HR partner for the Facilities Operations and Maintenance, and Energy and Campus Development areas.
Timmerman received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from UNH in 1999, and has 13 years of HR experience in the financial, records management and insurance industries. For the last 7 years he worked at DentaQuest in Charlestown, Mass., one of the nation’s largest oral health enterprises. Timmerman is the HR partner for Advancement, VPFA Office, Athletics, the President’s Office, and the College of Health and Human Services.

Second HR Location
While the primary address for Human Resources remains at 2 Leavitt Lane (2-0501), Sari Bennett, Interim Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, and HR partners Deb Carr, Mary Eisenhauer, Pat McCabe, Keith Timmerman and Diane Whitmarsh (2-0547) have moved to the first floor of Elizabeth Demeritt House at18 Garrison Avenue, (to the left of the new Peter Paul Business School) to improve access for, and service to, their customers.
Designated visitor parking spots have been added near the building. At the end of the summer, HR benefits and training staff will move there as well, again, to improve access for customers.
Workers’ compensation, background checks, HR reception, Banner HR, HR IT, and the Position Management and Recruiting web site (PACES) operations will remain at 2 Leavitt Lane.
