2012 Summer Faculty Fellowship Awards

Harry J. Richards, dean of the Graduate School, has announced the recipients of the 2012 Summer Faculty Fellowships, which support faculty scholarship that can significantly contribute to professional growth and achievement. Recipients and their summer projects are:

Billur Akdeniz, assistant professor of marketing, “The Predictive Ability of Stock Prices on the Future Success of New Product Introductions.

Katie Edwards, assistant professor of psychology, “Causes, Consequences and Prevention of Sexual Assault and Intimate Partner Violence.”

Tat Fu, assistant professor of civil engineering, “Integrating Structural Control and Double Skin Facades for Building Safety and Energy Efficiency.”

Elizabeth Gunlogson, assistant professor of music, “Clarinet Sonatas of 20th Century New England American Composers.”

Valentini Kalargyrou, assistant professor of hospitality management, “Models of Productive Labor; People with Disabilities.”

Dain LaRoche, assistant professor of kinesiology, “Lower –Extremity Strength, Obesity and Mobility in Older Adults.”

Sharon Murphy, assistant professor of social work, “Reality of Sexual Assault in NH.”

Sam Pazicni, assistant professor of chemistry, “Language and Learning Chemistry.”

Xiaowei Teng, assistant professor of  chemical engineering, “Manganese Oxides Nanomaterials for Supercapacitor Applications.”

Le Wang, assistant professor of economics, “The Gender Earnings Gap Measurement and Analysis.”
