Passings: Kathryn Stuart, Library Associate
Kathryn Stuart, who worked at Dimond Library for 22 years, died March 10 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester, Mass. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. March 25 at the Northshore Unitarian Universalist Church in Danvers, Mass.
Stuart was born to the late Lily and Robert Simpson on May 1, 1946, in Glasgow, Scotland. She attended Danvers High School, Colby College, and received her bachelor’s degree from Salem State College.
Her favorite pastimes included quiet visits to the beach in the summer evenings, walking, meditation and yoga. She enjoyed her travels to England and Alaska and spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren. In her last few weeks, Stuart was overfilled with joy from the love and support she received from her friends and family during this time.
Stuart is survived by her two daughters Kathryn Morris and her husband Glenn of Spanish Fort, Ala. and Rebekah Gorney and her husband Brad of Framingham, Mass., and four grandchildren: Keaton, Lily, Madelyn, and Daniel.
