Professor Joins National Council of Teachers of Mathematics
Karen J. Graham, professor of mathematics and director of the Joan and James Leitzel Center for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education , has joined the board of directors of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). The 14-member board serves as the chief policymaking body for NCTM.
Graham began her three-year term (2012–2015) at the conclusion of NCTM’s annual meeting in Philadelphia in April. NCTM is the world’s largest organization dedicated to the teaching and learning of mathematics. With more than 80,000 members, NCTM supports mathematics educators in all 50 states and Canada.
