Professor to Speak at Louisiana Bicentennial Event

Jessica Lepler, assistant professor of history, will speak at the 17th annual Williams Research Center symposium hosted by The Historic New Orleans Collection on Jan. 28, 2012, at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans where she will present “Le D��rangement des affaires commerciales” (The Derangement of Commercial Affairs): New Orleans and Panic in 1837.”�� In honor of Louisiana’s bicentennial, Lepler and other speakers from around the country will discuss the events that shaped the state and ultimately the nation.
