The Green Launching Pad will host a community forum on sustainability and entrepreneurship Feb. 22, 2012, in the MUB’s Granite State Room from 6 to 8 p.m.. The event is free and open to the public.
“A Greener Taste of Greater Durham” is a collaborative effort between the Green Launching Pad, UNH student organizations, local restaurants, and Green Launching Pad companies. Food will be provided by local restaurants, including Young’s Restaurant, the Bagelry and Mama Mac’s.
“Green Launching Pad is about green innovation by bringing entrepreneurs, businesses, faculty, and students together. This community forum is a great opportunity to showcase the contributions of student interns, local businesses, and Green Launching Pad companies,” said Venky Venkatachalam, project director for Green launching Pad and professor and chair at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics.
“The event is a great networking tool for students, business owners, and organizations interested in sustainability, entrepreneurship, and social and environmental responsibility,” said Joe Van Gombos, Green Launching Pad intern and event organizer.
