Joseph Klewicki, professor of mechanical engineering, has been elected a fellow of the American Physical Society.
The APS Fellowship Program recognizes members who have made advances in physics through original research and publication, or made significant innovative contributions in the application of physics to science and technology.
According to the APS citation, Klewicki is being honored for "insightful studies revealing the properties and scaling of turbulent boundary layers over a large Reynolds number range, and for developing and sharing with the research community unique flow facilities to carry out such studies."
