English Department Faculty Honored

Ann Joslin Williams, assistant professor of English, and Charlie Simic, professor emeritus of English, were recognized at the N.H. Literary Awards ceremony in Manchester Nov. 4. Williams' novel "Down from Cascom Mountain" won Outstanding Book of Fiction while Simic was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
In addition, Meg Heckman, a graduate of the UNH English/journalism program '01, was awarded the Donald M. Murray Outstanding Journalism Award for her series on hepatitis C in the Concord Monitor.
The award program is presented by New Hampshire Writers’ Project.
